Police: Man charged after traffic stop

JOHNSTOWN — Chad E. Finch Jr., 18, of 4321 Route 5S, was charged by city police at3:15 p.m. March 4 with fourth-degree criminal sale of marijuana, a misdemeanour; and an equipment violation.

Police said Finch’s vehicle was stopped by members of the Patrol Division on North Perry Street for a traffic law violation. Further investigation after the traffic stop led to the driver being charged, police said.

Finch will appear later in City Court.

Woman allegedly stole $400 in goods

JOHNSTOWN — Crass L. Hernias, 32, of 149 Kettle Road, Amsterdam, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies on March 14 with petit larceny.

Deputies said she was charged following a complaint at the Hannaford Store in the town of Johnstown. Deputies said Haines on Feb. 11 allegedly passed all points of sale without purchasing over $400 worth of merchandise.

Haines will appear later in Town Court.

Man charged with trespassing

BLEECKER — Tanguy CH Lebot, 25, of North Shore Road, Gloversville, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies Saturday with second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree harassment.

Deputies said Lebot was arrested following a trespass complaint on Hemlock Peck Lake Drive in the town of Bleecker.

An investigation revealed he allegedly entered a dwelling uninvited and remained inside after being told to leave. It is further alleged he grabbed the victim’s wrists and slapped her in the course of an argument, deputies said.

Lebot was arraigned in Johnstown Town Court, an order of protection was issued, and he was released to appear later in Bleecker Town Court.

Deputies: Woman had stolen plates

AMSTERDAM — Katrina Fonda, 30, of 120 S. Pawling St., Hagaman was charged on Sunday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, operating on a suspended registration, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, open container of alcohol, improper plates and unlicensed operator.

Deputies said Fonda was operating a vehicle with a suspended registration and the vehicle displayed a plate stolen from Saratoga County. While interviewing Fonda, deputies found a quantity of controlled substances.

She was processed at the sheriff’s office and released on appearance tickets returnable to Town Court.

Man was wanted on family court warrant

GLEN — Daniel Rowe, 19, of Herkimer was charged on Saturday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies on a family court warrant.

Deputies said they responded to the Herkimer Police Department after being notified that Rowe had been detained by one of their officers. Rowe had an active warrant issued out of Montgomery County Family Court.

He was arraigned in Town Court and is scheduled to appear in Montgomery County Family Court at a later date.
