Local man arrested for petit larceny

BROADALBIN — William F. Buczkowski, 29, of 916 S. Perry St., Johnstown, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies at 1:15 p.m. on Sunday with four counts of misdemeanor petit larceny in the town of Perth, and one count of petit larceny in the village of Broadalbin.

Deputies said he was charged at the sheriff’s office. Deputies said Buczkowski allegedly pumped diesel fuel into his vehicle at Stewart’s Shops several times over a period of time, and didn’t pay for the fuel.

Buczkowski will appear later in Perth and Broadalbin town courts.

Vehicle stop leads to unlicensed charge

JOHNSTOWN — Harry B. Western Jr., 57, of 157 Johnson Ave., was charged by city police at 7:06 a.m. Feb. 4 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; and an equipment violation.

Police said Western’s vehicle was stopped by the Patrol Division on North Perry Street for a traffic violation. Police said Western was found to have a suspended New York state.

Western will appear later in City Court.

Man picked up for unlicensed operation

JOHNSTOWN — Benny Fernandez III, 34, of 515 N. Market St., was charged by city police at 3:24 p.m. Jan. 27 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and an equipment violation.

Police said the Patrol Division stopped Fernandez’s vehicle on North Market Street for a traffic violation. Police said he was found to have a suspended New York state driver’s license.

Fernandez will appear later in City Court.

Man arrested for liquor store thefts

JOHNSTOWN — Tyronne L. Allen, 46, of 79 W. Eighth Ave., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 6:38 p.m. Feb. 1 with three misdemeanor counts of petit larceny.

Police said he was charged at Demi’s Liquor, 52 E. Main St., following an investigation into three separate petit larceny complaints. The charges stem from an incident at Spirits of the Adirondacks on Jan. 17, 2019 and Demi’s on Jan. 31, 2019 and Feb. 1, 2020. Police said Allen allegedly entered the businesses and stole multiple bottles of alcohol.

Allen will appear later in City Court.

Man arrested for unlicensed operation

JOHNSTOWN — Leon E. Ostrander, 45, of 113 1/2 S. Market St., was charged by city police at 7:40 p.m. Jan. 27 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and an equipment violation.

Police said he was charged after the Patrol Division stopped a vehicle on North Market Street for a traffic violation. Ostrander was found to have a suspended New York state driver’s license, police said.

He will appear later in City Court.

Active warrant leads to local man’s arrest

JOHNSTOWN — Robert F. Myers, 35, of 67 E. Main St., was arrested by city police at 8:55 a.m. Jan. 28 on a warrant.

Police said he was arrested at the police station on a bench warrant out of City Court.

He was arraigned and held for arraignment in City Court.
