Man arrested on strangulation warrant
GLOVERSVILLE — Kody B. Jennings, 21, of Gloversville, was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant on charges of second-degree strangulation, a class D felony; endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor; and third-degree attempted assault, a class B misdemeanor, by city police on Saturday at 6 p.m.
The arrest warrant for Jennings stemmed from a family offense that occurred on Oct. 31 at 11:25 p.m.
Jennings was processed and arraigned in City Court.
Man charged with illegal imprisonment
GLOVERSVILLE — Justin M. Fisher, 34, of Gloversville, was taken into custody on charges of first-degree unlawful imprisonment, aggravated family offense, second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree attempted assault and additionally charged with third-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest by city police on Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
While responding to an unrelated complaint officers encountered Fisher and attempted to take him into custody on charges stemming from a domestic violence incident that occurred on Nov. 7. Police say Fisher fled, initiating a brief foot pursuit and struggle at which time Fisher allegedly caused damage to an unassociated third party’s vehicle before he was taken into custody.
Fisher was transported to the station and arraigned in City Court.
Grand larceny leads to local man’s arrest
GLOVERSVILLE — Devon M. Morby, 23, of 125 Jennings Lane, Fonda, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny by city police on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Morby was taken into custody following an investigation into an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle complaint during which officers learned that Morby had taken a vehicle without the owner’s consent.
Morby was arraigned in City Court.
