Man allegedly endangered child

MAYFIELD –Bryan C. Knapp, 31, of 131 Brower Road, town of Mayfield, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday on charges of first-degree coercion, a felony; and third-degree coercion and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors.

Deputies said he allegedly endangered the welfare of a child when he compelled or induced a child to engage in conduct in which the child had a legal right to abstain from.

Knapp was arraigned in Town Court and sent to the Fulton County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond, pending further Town Court action. He has since been released on bail.

Man facing two separate charges

MAYFIELD — Shane D. Douglas, 45, of Johnstown was charged by state police on Sunday with third-degree grand larceny for an incident which occurred in Amsterdam on Oct. 24. He was also charged with fourth-degree grand larceny for an incident which occurred on Friday in Gloversville. Douglas was held on cash bail for the Amsterdam incident and given an appearance ticket for the Gloversville incident.

Driver facing driving while ability impaired

JOHNSTOWN — Charles R. Loomis, 61, of Newton, Connecticut, was charged by state police on Sunday with driving while ability impaired by alcohol.

Driver facing six drug charges

GLEN — George M. Couch, 37, of New Haven, Connecticut, was charged by state police on Friday with three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of controlled substance not in its original container.

Driver facing DWI, speeding charges

CANAJOHARIE — Tika R. Subba, 22, of Utica was charged by state police on Sunday with speeding in a posted zone, driving while intoxicated and having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher.

Subba was released on an appearance ticket.

Driver charged with 2 drug misdemeanors

AMSTERDAM — Timothy B. Thacker, 47, of Bolton Landing was charged by state police on Friday with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Thacker was released on an appearance ticket.

Driver facing several drug charges

AMSTERDAM — John M. Breithaupt, 26, of Albany was charged by state police on Friday with having a controlled substance not in its original container, three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana.

Breithaupt was released on an appearance ticket.
