Unsafe lane shift leads to DWI charge

AMSTERDAM — Jessica Alexander, 36, of 708 Route 67, was charged on Oct. 6, by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for driving with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher, driving while intoxicated, move from lane unsafely and uninspected vehicle.

Deputies initiated a traffic stop on Route 5 in the town of Amsterdam after observing a vehicle failing to maintain its lane and driving with an expired inspection. During the traffic stop, a field sobriety test was conducted, and Alexander was transported to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for processing.

She submitted a chemical test which revealed her BAC was at .10 percent.

She was processed and released on an appearance ticket to a sober third party, and is scheduled to appear in Amsterdam Town Court on Oct. 24.

Man charged for unlicensed operation

PALATINE — Christopher C. Novak, 59, of 957 Stone Arabia Road, Fort Plain was charged on Oct. 5 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and inadequate license plate lamp.

Novak was processed roadside and released on uniform traffic tickets returnable Palatine Town Court on Thursday.

Unlicensed operation results in charges

PALATINE — Thomas A. Radigan, 31, of 101 Aspen Woods Road, Amsterdam was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Radigan was charged following a traffic stop on Route 67. A DMV check revealed that his license had three open suspensions from failing to answer traffic summonses.

Radigan was processed roadside and released on an appearance ticket returnable to Palatine Town Court at a later date.

Controlled substance not in right container

GLOVERSVILLE — Luther J. Goodrich, 62, of Gloversville was charged by state police on Oct. 3 with having a controlled substance not in its original container, seventh-degree criminal possession of marijuana, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and inadequate muffler.

Traffic stop leads to multiple charges

AMSTERDAM — Rushaine A. Jones, 30, of Schenectady was charged by state police on Saturday with no license, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, speeding in a posted zone and driving while intoxicated.

Woman picked up for drunk driving

NORTHAMPTON — Margaret O. Hayes, 59, of Bedfrod, N.H., was charged by state police on Friday with having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher and driving while intoxicated.

Hayes was released to a third party.

Area man arrested for intoxicated driving

BROADALBIN — Matthew E. Sowle, 63, of Galwa was charged on Saturday by state police with driving while intoxicated and having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher.
