Released from jail, arrested on warrant

AMSTERDAM — Matthew S. Obrien, 31, of 38 First Ave., Gloversville was charged on Oct. 4, by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies on a bench warrant.

Obrien was released from Fulton County Correction Facility and transported to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on an open warrant out of Amsterdam Town Court.

He was later released and has until Oct. 24 to pay the remaining balance of a fine given by the court.

Failure to appear leads to arrest

PALATINE — Thomas J. Doak, Jr., 23, of 56 Third Ave., Gloversville was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies on Oct. 3 with failure to appear.

Doak was charged by deputies after being detained on an active warrant by Gloversville Police Department.

He was arraigned in Town of Palatine Court where he plead guilty to the original charge of fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was released with a fine, court fee and community service.

Inadequate lights leads to violations

TRIBES HILL — Sean D. Forester, 30, of 1052 Barker Road, Dolgeville was charged on Oct. 2 by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and inadequate lights.

Forester was stopped by deputies for a vehicle and traffic law infraction. During the traffic stop deputies learned he held a suspended driver’s license.

He was processed roadside and released on an appearance ticket to appear in Mohawk Town Court at a later date.

Woman allegedly 3 times legal limit

JOHNSTOWN –A city woman was charged by state police Oct. 4 after being a driver with almost three times the legal limit of alcohol, troopers said.

A news release indicated state police in Mayfield arrested Michele L. Jurica, 31, of Johnstown on a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated, prior conviction, an E felony.

Arrest made on contempt charge

PALATINE BRIDGE — Kevin J. Houghton, 20, of Palatine Bridge was charged by state police on Wednesday with second-degree criminal contempt for failure to obey a court order.

Houghton was arraigned and released in his own recognizance.

Man charged with petit larceny

AMSTERDAM — Jakira G. Rodriguez, 31, of Amsterdam was charged by state police on Wednesday with petit larceny.

Possession of drugs charged

AMSTERDAM — Miguel Marrero, 37, o Amsterdam was charged by state police on Oct. 3 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Man charged with trespassing

JOHNSTOWN — John R. Hyde, 31, of Gloversville was charged by state police on Oct. 3 with trespass.
