ATV driver facing DWI, other charges
FLORIDA — Joseph W. Moraski, 37, of 2368 Lower Gregg Road, Schenectady was charged by Montgomery County sheriff deputies on Aug. 30 with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI, unregistered ATV, operating an ATV on a public highway and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Moraski was observed on Route 5S on a Honda Three Wheel ATV. During the encounter, the sheriff’s deputy found him to be in an intoxicated state, and located a quantity of heroin.
He was transported and processed at the sheriff’s office where he was released on appearance tickets.
Running red light leads to charges
MOHAWK — Jeffery S. Conkling Jr., 20, of 26 Center St., Palatine Bridge was charged on Aug. 27, by Montgomery County sheriff deputies with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator of a vehicle and failure to obey traffic control device.
Conkling was found to allegedly be driving with a suspended license.
He was issued two traffic citations.
Felony criminal mischief charged
AMSTERDAM — Eric J. Cyrek, 46, of Amsterdam was charged by state police on Aug. 28 with third-degree criminal mischief with damage to property greater than $250 value, a class E felony, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest, third-degree fleeing a police officer using a motor vehicle, and first-degree operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.
Cyrek was released on appearance tickets.
Driver facing DWI charges
FONDA — Lisa M. Lavada, 44, of Fultonville was charged by state police on Aug. 30 with driving while intoxicated and having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher.
Lavada was released to a third party.
Criminal contempt leads to warrant
FONDA — Victor H. Eckler, 39, of East Main Street, Fonda was arrested by Montgomery County sheriff deputies on Wednesday on an active warrant for second-degree criminal contempt.
Eckler was arraigned in Mohawk Town Court and remanded to Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash bail.
No plate lamp leads to unlicensed charge
AMSTERDAM — Austin H, Famiglietti, 21, of Landon Drive, Gloversville was charged by Montgomery County sheriff deputies with no plate lamps and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation for driving on a suspended license.
Familglietti was released on appearance tickets to return to Amsterdam Town Court on a later date.
