Failure to appear leads to warrant

GLOVERSVILLE — Jaguar N. Loftin, 29, of 828 Bridge St., Schenectady, was taken into custody on an active bench warrant by city police on Saturday at 3:12 a.m.

The bench warrant for Loftin was issued out of City Court for failure to appear. Loftin was located by members of the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department following a vehicle stop in Johnstown on North Comrie Avenue.

Loftin was turned over to the Gloversville Police Department and arraigned in City Court.

Woman switches price tags, charged

GLOVERSVILLE — Christine M. Lewis, 52, of 21 Addison St., was charged with petit larceny by city police on Sept. 1 at 7:26 p.m.

Officers responded to the Walmart located at 329 S. Kingsboro Ave. Ext. for a larceny in progress. During the course of investigation it was determined that Lewis removed tags from merchandise that she attached to more expensive items that she then purchased for the lower prices.

Lewis was transported to the station where she was processed and held for arraignment.

Accident leads to DWI charges

GLOVERSVILLE — Brandon S. Roe, 26, of 143 E. Fulton St., was charged with driving while intoxicated and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation by city police on Sept. 2 at 7:01 p.m.

Roe was taken into custody following a motor vehicle accident on East Fulton Street. During the course of investigation police learned that Roe operated a motor vehicle while intoxicated and struck a utility pole on East Fulton Street.

Roe was processed and released to appear in City Court at a later date.

Driver facing DWI charges

JOHNSTOWN – Koren Hohenforst, 36, of Gloversville was charged by state police on Aug. 27 with driving while intoxicated.

Driver cited for suspended registration

FONDA — Roy G. Vannostrand II, 29, of North Street, Gloversville was charged by Montgomery County sheriff deputies with operating a motor vehicle while the registration is suspended or revoked.

Following a traffic stop, a department of motor vehicle check revealed Vannostrand’s vehicle registration had been suspended due to a lapse in insurance coverage.

Insurance lapse leads to charges

AMSTERDAM — Dean A. Devito, 56, of Division Street, Amsterdam, was charged by Montgomery County sheriff deputies with operating a motor vehicle while the registration is suspended or revoked.

Following a traffic stop, a department of motor vehicle check revealed Devito’s vehicle registration had been suspended due to a lapse in insurance coverage.
