Man arrested after fleeing police officer

EPHRATAH — Andrew S. Rutauskas, 32, of Gloversville was charged by state police on July 9 with third-degree fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle for an incident which occurred in Johnstown on that same date.

Woman arrested after altercation at YMCA

GLOVERSVILLE — Lynn A. Cook, 46, of 19 E. Fulton St., Apt. 103B, was charged with second-degree harassment, a violation, by city police on July 10 at 5:35 p.m.

Cook was taken into custody following an altercation at the YMCA housing complex. Police allege that Cook struck another member of the complex in the back.

Cook was processed and released with an appearance ticket returnable in City Court at a later date.

Petit larceny charge lodged against woman

GLOVERSVILLE — Koren Hohenforst, 36, of 235 S. Main St., was charged with petit larceny by city police on July 11 at 9:05 a.m.

Hohenforst was taken into custody following a larceny investigation at Country Farms located at 198 S. Main St. During the course of investigation police determined that Hohenforst took store merchandise past all points of sale without paying and without consent of store management.

Hohenforst was processed and held for arraignment in City Court.

Complaint leads to criminal contempt

GLOVERSVILLE — Elvin M. Walters, 53, of Johnstown, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a class E felony, and second-degree harassment, a violation, by city police on Tuesday at 9:58 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to a domestic violence complaint involving the violation of an order of protection. During the course of investigation officers learned that Walters harassed the victim and violated an order of protection obtained by the victim against Walters.

Walters was transported to the station where he was processed and held for arraignment in City Court.

Local man taken into custody on warrant

GLOVERSVILLE — Christopher D. Dacorsi, 43, of 810 Bunker Hill Road, Mayfield, was taken into custody on an outstanding arrest warrant on a charge of third-degree assault by city police on Tuesday at 11:10 p.m.

The arrest warrant for Dacorsi stemmed from an alleged incident that occurred at 207 N. Main St. on Aug. 22 around 10:34 p.m. Dacorsi was located by state police and taken into custody on the outstanding warrant.

Dacorsi was turned over to the Gloversville Police Department where he was processed and arraigned in City Court.

Driver charged for suspended registration

AMSTERDAM — Eric D. Wald, 41, of Clifton Park was charged on July 9, by Montgomery county sheriff’s deputies with operating a vehicle with a suspended registration.

Wald was driving on West Main Street when his vehicle alerted the license plate reader. Deputy sheriff’s confirmed his registration to be suspended for an insurance lapse.

He was issued an appearance ticket for Amsterdam Town Court.
