Warrant leads to man’s arrest

JOHNSTOWN — Greg L. Christiano, 45, of 219 Hunter Heights Road, Northville, was arrested by city police at 2:20 p.m. July 8 on a warrant, a violation.

Police said he was taken into custody by the Northville Police Department on an active bench warrant issued out of City Court.

Christiano was held for arraignment in that court.

Woman takes another’s car, leaves

NORTHAMPTON — Michele A. Ambrosino, 51, no address released, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies at 9:43 p.m. July 5 with third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and second-degree harassment.

Deputies said she was charged in the village of Northville. Deputies said Ambrosino allegedly subjected another person to physical contact. She also allegedly took and exercised control over a motor vehicle without the owner’s permission, deputies said.

Ambrosino will appear later in Town Court.

Domestic incident leads to charges

JOHNSTOWN — William J. Skinner III, 30, of Gloversville was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies at 4 a.m. July 7 with second-degree harassment.

Deputies said he was charged following a domestic incident in the town of Johnstown. Deputies said he was arrested at a residence on County Highway 102 after he subjected another person to physical contact.

Skinner was arraigned in Town Court and released to reappear at a later date.

Car accident leads to additional charges

JOHNSTOWN — David J. Teneyck, 44, of Gloversville, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies at 9 p.m. July 7 with driving while intoxicated, driving with 0.08 or greater blood-alcohol content, inappropriate speed, no seatbelt/driver, and failure to use designated lane.

Deputies said he was arrested at 2712 Route 29 after a personal injury motor vehicle accident in the town of Johnstown. Teneyck allegedly operated a motor vehicle while intoxicated, deputies said.

He will appear later in Town Court.

Verbal fight turns physical, arrest made

GLOVERSVILLE — Joseph R. Hoyt, 38, of Gloversville, was charged with strangulation, aggravated family offense and third-degree attempted assault by city police on Thursday at 11:23 p.m.

Officers responded to a domestic violence complaint and during the course of investigation determined that Hoyt was involved in a verbal altercation with the victim that turned physical. Police allege that Hoyt struck and choked the victim.

Hoyt was transported to the station where he was processed and held for arraignment.

Man threatens victim, arrested

PERTH — Robert S. Markert, 51, of Amsterdam was charged by state police on Saturday at 10:15 p.m. with second-degree aggravated harassment, communicating a threat for an incident which occurred at 7:49 p.m. in the town of Amsterdam.

Markert was released to a third party.
