Man arrested for criminal possession

DOLGEVILLE — Mark A. Miller, 24, of 9 E. Spofford Ave., was charged by Dolgeville police on June 28 for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

During a search, Miller was found to allegedly be in possession of concentrated marijuana.

He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Manheim Town Court at a later date.

Man charged with criminal trespassing

DOLGEVILLE — Shawn V. Kane, 27, of 362 W. Main St., Little Falls was charged on June 20 by Dolgeville police for second-degree criminal trespass.

Kane went to his ex-friend’s home and refused to leave.

He was issued an appearance ticket to appear at Manheim Town Court at a later date.

City police charge two for drug crimes

JOHNSTOWN — Two people were arrested by city police on drug offenses at 7:05 p.m. July 2.

Police said Noah M. Macvean, 20, of 109 County Highway 107, and James M. Lang III, 18, of 1273 Old Trail Road, Fonda, were each charged by city police with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, all misdemeanors.

Police said Macvean and Lang were charged after members of the Patrol Division investigated a suspicious vehicle behind a business at 15 Pleasant Ave. at 6:50 p.m. July 2. Police said an investigation learned that Macvean and Lang were allegedly smoking concentrated cannabis “dabs” with three juveniles — aged 16, 12 and 12.

The suspects will appear later in City Court.

Traffic stop leads to multiple charges

JOHNSTOWN — Marc F. Ruppert, 48. of 9 Winton Lane, Dolgeville, was charged by city police at 12:57 a.m. July 3 with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, failure to keep right and failure to signal, all violations.

Police said members of the Patrol Division stopped a vehicle on West State Street for multiple state Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. During the course of the traffic stop, driver Ruppert allegedly became irate and disorderly and a physical altercation with officers occurred, police said.

Ruppert will appear later in City Court.

Woman arrested on unlicensed operation

JOHNSTOWN — Florence E. Vanness, 43, of 22 James St., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 8:32 a.m. July 3 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; and no inspection, a violation.

Police said she was charged on North Perry Street after members of the Patrol Division stopped his vehicle for an expired inspection sticker. The driver was found to have a suspended New York state driver’s license, police said.

Vanness will appear later in City Court.

Failure to stop leads to unlicensed charge

JOHNSTOWN — Shane C. Hisert, 39, of 194 Eaker Road, Fort Plain, was charged by city police at 1:48 p.m. July 5 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; and failure to stop at a stop sign, a violation.

Police said members of the Patrol Division stopped his vehicle on Crescendoe Road for a stop sign violation. Hisert was found to have a suspended New York state driver’s license, police said.

Hisert will appear later in City Court.
