Woman allegedly stole from grandmother

HAGAMAN — Nichole R. Burkus, 31, was charged by state police on Friday with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.

Burkus was arrested after allegedly stealing $4,500 from her grandmother’s bank account after her grandmother was admitted to a nursing home. She has used her grandmother’s ATM card for purchases and withdrawals at various retail locations in Montgomery County.

The incident was reported by a family member of the victim.

Burkus was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Amsterdam Town Court on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Woman charged with DWAI

AMSTERDAM — Nicole T. Ranieri, 35, of Rotterdam, was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and driving while ability impaired by state police on Saturday at 10:32 p.m. Ranieri was taken into custody on Route 30. She was released on an appearance ticket.

Troopers charge man with DWI

ESPERANCE — Marcus D. Jacobs-Cooper, 25, of Schenectady, was charged with DWI and unlawful possession of marijuana by stated police on Saturday at 10:35 p.m. Jacobs-Cooper was taken into custody on Route 30. He was released to a sober third party.

Troopers: Man charged with DWI

AMSTERDAM — Vincent R. Gemmette, 29, of Corinth, was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI and escaping from custody by state police on June 30 at 10:35 p.m. Gemmette was taken into custody on East Main Street. He was released on cash bail.

Police: Driver had switched plates

DOLGEVILLE — Elizabeth M. Roney, 25, of 123 N. Main St., was charged by Dolgeville police on Thursday for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, unregistered motor vehicle, switched plates and no front plate.

Roney was issued traffic tickets to appear in Manheim Town Court at a later date.

Man charged with menacing an officer

DOLGEVILLE – Jan L. Dager, 54, of 147 Heller Road, Salisbury was charged on Friday by Dolgeville police for menacing a police officer, criminal possession of a weapon, and open container.

Dager was allegedly drinking an alcoholic beverage and was throwing rocks at a residence. When approached by Dolgeville police, Dager allegedly pulled and threatened officers with a large hunting knife. Dolgeville police were assisted by Little Falls police and state police.

Dager was arraigned in Salisbury Town Court and committed to the Herkimer County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bail bond.

Woman was wanted on arrest warrant

JOHNSTOWN — Hali K. Anadio, 25, of 110 Miller Lane, was arrested by city police at 9:15 a.m. July 2 on a warrant.

Police said he was arrested on an active warrant issued out of City Court.

Anadio was arraigned in City Court and held to reappear later.
