Caroga teen charged with felony burglary

CAROGA — A 17-year-old male from Caroga was charged with second-degree burglary, a felony, by state police on June 27 at 8:26 p.m. in connection to an incident that occurred on June 24 at 2:28 p.m. The male was located by police and released on an appearance ticket.

Active bench warrants leads to woman’s arrest

AMSTERDAM — Patricia M. Winters, 36, of 8 McCleary Ave., was charged on June 26 by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for failure to pay fines.

Winters was charged on bench warrants out of the towns of Amsterdam and Florida for failing to pay outstanding fines.

She was arraigned in Amsterdam, and remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility with bail set at $450 cash bail or $1,000 bail bond, and $400 cash bail or $800 bail bond.

Winters is scheduled to return to both Amsterdam Town Court and Florida Town Court at later dates.

Man charged with disorderly conduct

GLOVERSVILLE — Alexander Dake, 21, of Gloversville, was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct by city police on Thursday at 2:36 a.m.

Dake was taken into custody after officers say while on patrol they observed Dake shove a male victim onto the pavement and into the path of oncoming traffic on South Main Street.

Dake was arraigned in City Court.

Traffic stop leads to Aggravated DWI

GLOVERSVILLE — Kristopher D. Hunter, 26, of 48 Fifth Ave., was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI and vehicle and traffic violations by city police on Thursday at 8:29 p.m.

While on patrol, officers conducted a stop on Hunter’s vehicle on North Main Street for a traffic violation. After smelling the scent of an alcoholic beverage coming from Hunter’s person, police conducted a field sobriety test on Hunter that yielded positive results for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Hunter was transported to the station and processed.
