Fugitive from justice charged

GLOVERSVILLE — Jumar A. Turner, 26, of 15 Yale St., was charged with obstructing governmental administration and other vehicle traffic violations and was taken into custody as a fugitive from justice by city police on June 22 at 4:33 a.m.

Officers conducted a vehicle stop for a traffic violation on North Main Street. During the course of the stop, the operator, Turner, fled from the scene on foot. Turner was later located at his residence and was taken into custody. During the course of investigation, police found that Turner had felony warrants for his arrest out of Virginia with full extradition.

Turner was processed and arraigned.

Several felony drug charges lodged

GLOVERSVILLE — Rebecca A. Ferry, 32, of 1695 Van Vranken Ave., Schenectady, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony; two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, class B felonies; fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class C felony; fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; and disobeying a traffic control device, a violation, by city police on June 23 at 8:15 p.m.

Officers conducted a vehicle stop on South Main Street for a vehicle and traffic violation during which the driver, Ferry, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana not consistent with personal use.

Ferry was taken into custody and transported to the station for processing. Upon further investigation, Ferry was found to be in possession of a quantity of heroin and crack cocaine.

Ferry was processed and held for arraignment.

Man charged with 4th-degree larceny

HALFMOON — John Lahut, 51, of Gloversville was charged by state police on Tuesday with fourth-degree grand larceny.

Troopers said Lahut was charged with the felony when he allegedly took building products from the Lowes Home Improvement store.

Lahut was arraigned in Halfmoon Town Court in front of Town Justice Joseph Fodera and remanded to Saratoga County Correctional Facility with no bail.

Lahut is due back in Halfmoon Town Court on Friday at 11 a.m.

Man charged with petit larceny, pot

AMSTERDAM — Omar Estrada, 38, of Amsterdam was charged by state police on june 17 at 3 p.m. with petit larceny and unlawful possession of marijuana.
