Active bench warrant leads to man’s arrest

JOHNSTOWN — Charles J. Dawson, 42, of 211 W. State St., was arrested by city police at 8:57 a.m. Tuesday on a bench warrant issued by City Court.

Police didn’t indicate the nature of the warrant, but only that he was charged with an offense that occurred at 11 a.m. June 4.

Dawson was arraigned and released to appear later in City Court.

Traffic stop leads to drunk driving charge

JOHNSTOWN — Ryan C. Clemons, 32, of 107 Dove St., was charged by city police at 12:06 a.m. Thursday with driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI, both misdemeanors; and no seatbelt and open container in a vehicle, both violations.

Police said he was charged after being stopped as a driver for a vehicle and traffic law violation at 11:47 p.m. Wednesday in the area of East Main Street and North Perry Street.

Clemons was released with appearance tickets for City Court.

BB gun incident leads to man’s arrest

JOHNSTOWN — Terry W. Wooster, 28, of 222 N. Perry St., was charged by city police at 5:49 p.m. Tuesday with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

Police said he was arrested following an incident at 9:02 a.m. Monday. An investigation revealed Wooster was allegedly shooting a BB gun in his yard. While doing so, a nine-year-old boy was struck in the leg by a BB, police said.

Wooster will appear later in City Court.

Man picked up for active bench warrant

JOHNSTOWN — Olen T. Heroth, 21, of 21 N. Perry St., Apt. 5, was arrested by city police at 1 p.m. Tuesday on a bench warrant issued by City Court.

Police didn’t reveal the nature of the warrant, but he was charged with an alleged offense that occurred at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Dawson was arraigned in City Court and released on $250 bail to appear later.
