Man arrested on court bench warrant

MOHAWK — Angel M. Mendez Santiago, 24, of 242 Woodrow Road, Amsterdam was charged on Sunday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies on a bench warrant from Montgomery County Family Court.

Mendez Santiago was arraigned in Town Court and remanded to Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

Man charged after vehicle crash

MINDEN — Brett M. Compo, 22, of 5954 James St., Constableville, Lewis County, was charged on Saturday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, use of motor vehicle without an interlock device, leaving the scene of a property damage auto accident and failure to maintain lane.

Compo was processed and released to appear in Town Court on Dec. 13.

Deputies: Man tried to force way into home

NELLISTON — Kenneth James Thompson, 45, of 4 River St., Apt. 1, was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies on Friday for second-degree attempted burglary.

Thompson had allegedly attempted to break into an apartment at 4 River St., in the village. During the investigation, deputies determined that he had been previously been involved in an altercation with a neighbor in the apartment building and had since allegedly attempted to gain entry into said apartment and engage in criminal activity. He is also alleged to have cause damage to the entry door of the apartment. Thompson was located in his apartment and taken into custody.

Thompson was processed at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, arraigned in Palatine Town Court in front of Judge Ronald Dygert and remanded to Montgomery County Jail without bail. Thompson is scheduled to reappear in court on today at 7 p.m.

Deputies: Man had marijuana on him

CHARLESTON — Jacob D. Mundell, 19, of 104 Monk Road, Sprakers was charged on Friday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for unlawful possession of marijuana.

He was issued an appearance ticket to Town Court on Dec. 13.

Deputies: Man charged with DWI

GLEN — Adam Pelletier, 34, was charged on Sunday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for driving while intoxicated and driving with a BAC above .08.

Pelletier was arrested following a motor vehicle accident with a BAC above .08.

He was given an appearance ticket for Town Court at a later date.

Troopers: Man charged with DWAI

MAYFIELD — Keith M. Trickler Jr. of St. Johnsville was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs by state police on Dec. 1.

Troopers said they responded to the intersection of Route 30 and North Main Street in the town for a two car property damage motor vehicle accident. While interviewing the persons involved, troopers said they observed signs of impairment in one of the drivers, identified Trickler. Field sobriety testing was administered, which Trickler failed, however alcohol intoxication was ruled out. A State Police Drug Recognition Expert was called in to assist the investigation. Following the DRE’s evaluation, Trickler was charged and submitted to a blood draw, and the sample was forwarded to the State Police Forensic Investigation Center in Albany for toxicology analysis. Trickler was processed, issued tickets returnable to the Town Court on Tuesday, and released to a sober party.
