Disorderly conduct, possession charges

GLOVERSVILLE — Frederick D. Bump, 26, of 5006 Route 29, St. Johnsville, was charged with disorderly conduct and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance by city police on Nov. 27 at 4:20 a.m.

Police said Bump was taken into custody during the investigation of a disorderly conduct complaint on North Main Street and transported to the station. While in custody, officers discovered that Bump was in possession of five Suboxone packages without a prescription.

Bump was processed and held for arraignment.

Active bench warrant results in an arrest


GLOVERSVILLE — Natalie L. Williams, 32, of 4 Persse Ave., Johnstown, was taken into custody on an active bench warrant by city police on Nov. 28 at 1:08 p.m.

Police said the bench warrant for Williams was issued out of City Court for failure to appear on a previous charge of resisting arrest and third-degree attempted assault.

Williams was transported to the station where she was processed and arraigned.

Traffic stop leads to aggravated DWI

GLOVERSVILLE — Aaron G. Simonds, 40, of 372 Steele Ave. Ext., was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right on Friday at 10:40 p.m.

Police said while on patrol, officers conducted a vehicle stop on Simonds’ vehicle for traffic violations. Police conducted a field sobriety test on Simonds after smelling the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person that yielded positive results for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Simonds was transported to the station, processed and released with appearance tickets to a sober third party.

Man charged with 2nd-degree harassment

GLOVERSVILLE — Sheldon J. Leveille, 50, of 58 Third Ave. Apartment 2, was charged with second-degree harassment, a violation, by city police on Nov. 27 at 9:15 p.m.

Officers said they responded to 115 Fremont St. for the report of a physical altercation in which a male had been struck in the mouth. Upon arrival, officers learned Leveille had struck another male in the mouth causing a laceration.

Leveille was taken into custody and transported to the station where he was processed and released with an appearance ticket returnable in City Court.

Woman arrested for active bench warrant

GLOVERSVILLE — Jessica L. Crum, 32, of 385 N. Main St. Upstairs, was taken into custody on an active bench warrant by city police on Saturday at 3:39 a.m.

While on patrol, officers observed a female subject they knew to be Crum on Yale Street. Crum had an active bench warrant issued out of City Court on July 9 for failure to pay a fine for a charge of third-degree attempted assault.

Crum was transported to the station for processing and held for arraignment.
