Driver charged with driving drunk

GLOVERSVILLE — Kyle R. Anderson, 35, of 124 Hoosac St., Johnstown, was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and driving while intoxicated by city police on Wednesday at 10:35 p.m.

While on patrol, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for traffic violations on Orchard Street. After smelling alcohol coming from Anderson, police conducted a field sobriety test that yielded positive results for driving while under the influence of alcohol. During the investigation police learned that Anderson had a revoked licensed.

Anderson was transported to the station for processing and arraignment.

Evicted tenant goes back to apartment


GLOVERSVILLE — Alejandro Gonzalez, 35, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal trespass by city police on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Officers were dispatched to 167 Bleecker St. for the report of a male sleeping in a vacant apartment. Police located Gonzalez who had been a past tenant of the apartment, but had since been evicted. During the arrest process, Gonzalez was allegedly found to be in possession of cocaine.

Gonzalez was transported to the station where he was processed and held for arraignment.

Man arrested on probation warrant

GLOVERSVILLE — Lance M. Smith, 24, of 10 First Ave., was taken into custody on an active bench warrant by city police on Wednesday at 9 a.m.

The bench warrant for Smith was signed in City Court after he violated the terms of his probation. Smith turned himself in to police at the station.

Smith was taken into custody and held for arraignment.

Broken windshield leads to DWI charge

JOHNSTOWN — Dylan J. Slater, 27, of Canajoharie was charged by state police on Nov. 1 with broken windshield, failure to keep right, driving while intoxicated and having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher.

Stop leads to pot possession charge

MOHAWK — Kelvin Lopez, 30, of Amsterdam was charged by state police on Nov. 1 with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Driver cited under Leandra’s Law

FONDA — Jason M. Hancock, 35, of Amsterdam was charged on Nov. 1 by state police with first-degree aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, driving while intoxicated and moving from the lane unsafely.

Teen charged with 2nd-degree burglary

JOHNSTOWN — An unidentified 18-year-old Gloversville teen was charged by state police with second-degree burglary for an incident which occurred Aug. 19 in Broadalbin, the same burglary Tyronne Allen, 24, was charged with on Oct. 23.

Man charged with 2nd-degree menacing

MAYFIELD — Peter M. Robillard, 19, of Broadalbin was charged by state police on Nov. 1 with second-degree menacing with a weapon. He was held for arraignment.
