Petit larceny charge lodged against woman

AMSTERDAM — Holly A. Fulton, 38, of 51 Vrooman Ave. was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies on July 31 for petit larceny.

Fulton allegedly stole items at Hannaford. She was issued an appearance ticket to the Amsterdam Town Court on Aug. 7.

Family court warrant set for Article 8

AMSTERDAM — Jose C. Sousa Jr., 30, of 55 Van Derveer St., was charged on July 31 by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for violating an order of protection.

Sousa was charged on a family court warrant that was issued. He was processed at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office and arraigned in the Glen Town Court. Sousa was remanded to Montgomery County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail.

Driver charged with multiple violations

JOHNSTOWN — Dustin A. Hart, 29, of 20 Yost St., was charged by city police at 8:04 a.m. Aug. 2 with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a felony; failure to install interlock device, a misdemeanor; and disobeying a traffic device, a violation.

Police said he was charged on North Perry Street after a vehicle stop.

Hart was arraigned and will appear later in City Court.

Local man arrested on active warrant

JOHNSTOWN — Donald B. Johnson Jr., 36, of 14 S. Melcher St., was arrested by city police at 4:44 p.m. Aug. 2 on a warrant.

Police said he was arrested at home on a valid bench warrant from Fulton County Court.

He was held to appear on the violation at a later date.

Vehicle stop leads to several charges

JOHNSTOWN — Mariah J. Kirk, 22, of 105 Glenwood Ave., was charged by city police at 5:03 p.m. Aug. 1 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; and failure to keep right, a violation.

Police said she was charged on South Chase Street following a vehicle stop.

She will appear later in City Court.

City police make arrest from warrant

JOHNSTOWN — Michelle M. Mustico, 33, of 50 N. Main St., Broadalbin, was arrested by city police at 9:40 p.m. Aug. 1 on a warrant.

Police said she was arrested at the police station on a valid bench warrant out of City Court.

She was arraigned and released to appear later in that court.

Driver charged with felony drunk driving

GLOVERSVILLE — Christopher T. Insonia, 51, of 6 Montgomery St. Apartment 2, was charged with a felony for driving while intoxicated by city police on Thursday at 7:45 p.m.

City police received a vehicle complaint regarding a possibly intoxicated driver. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Washington Street. Insonia was identified as the driver.

During the course of investigation, officers had reason to believe Insonia may have been driving under the influence and conducted a field sobriety test that yielded positive results for driving while under the influence of alcohol. Police found Insonia had a prior DWI conviction within the past 10 years, making the current alleged DWI a felony.

Insonia was transported to the station where he was processed and held for arraignment.
