Local man charged with possession

PALATINE — Owan J. Yerdon, 19, of 1700 Route 163, Canajoharie, was charged on May 16 by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for unlawful possession of marijuana.

Yerdon was issued an appearance ticket and is to appear in Palatine Town Court at a later date.

Man sleeping in car charged with DWI

CAROGA — Joseph P. Horan, 36, of 808 County Highway 137, Johnstown, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies May 13 with driving while intoxicated, driving with 0.08 percent or greater blood-alcohol content and failure to keep right.

Deputies said Horan was charged following a report of a vehicle off the road near the intersection of Routes 10 and 29A in the town of Caroga.

He was located inside his vehicle, sleeping behind the wheel, deputies said. Deputies said the vehicle was also stuck. An investigation revealed Horan was driving under the influence of alcohol, failed to keep right and his vehicle exited the road.

He will appear later in Town Court.

Driver charged with unlicensed operation

JOHNSTOWN — Edwin J. Pastor, 33, of 107 East Ave., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 5:30 a.m. Friday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Police said he was charged on South Comrie Avenue after being observed driving a motor vehicle with a revoked New York state driver’s license.

Police said Pastor was remanded to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department, as he was on New York state parole and was held on a warrant.

He also faces action later in City Court.

Woman arrested for petit larceny

JOHNSTOWN — Deseray N. Rodriguez, 22, of 34 Bartlett St., Amsterdam, was charged by city police at 3:20 p.m. May 11 with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Police said she was charged at home for stealing $103.92 worth of merchandise from the TJ Maxx department store at the Johnstown Shopping Center on Route 30A.

She will appear later in City Court.

Area man cited for suspended registration

JOHNSTOWN — John V. Dwyer, 50, of 212 Wells St., was charged by city police at 12:05 p.m. May 14 with suspended registration, a misdemeanor.

Police said he was charged on South Comrie Avenue for driving with a suspended registration following a vehicle stop.

He will appear later in City Court.

Two set to appear on possession charges

GLEN — Two Schenectady residents were charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Keiji Mason-Flowers, 22, of 1345 Cullen Avenue was charged with third-degree operating a motor vehicle while license is suspended and fourth-degree unlawful possession of marijuana.

Pierre D. Thompson, 18, of 1110 Chrysler Avenue was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Mason-Flowers and Thompson had left Montgomery County Correctional Facility after picking up a released inmate when Mason-Flowers was allegedly in possession of 3.8 ounces of marijuana and Thompson allegedly in possession of 3 grams. Both are set to appear in court on June 7.
