DOT announces weekly road work schedule for Johnstown, Broadalbin, Lake Pleasant

UTICA — The following is this week’s Tri-county state Department of Transportation area road work:

Fulton County

• City of Johnstown: Route 30A between Briggs Street and Prindle Ave. Motorists will encounter lane shifts in both directions due to utility work, and storm drainage installation along Route 30A.

• Town of Johnstown: Route 10A over Caroga Creek. Motorists will encounter a full road closure (local traffic only) with a signed detour in place. Routes 10 and 29 will be utilized for the detour. The bridge will be closed north of Cape Horn Road.

• Town of Johnstown: Route 29A at the intersection of County Route 122. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to signal work.

• Town of Johnstown, Town of Caroga: Route 29 between the Johnstown City line and Route 10A. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to paving operations.

• Town of Johnstown, Town of Caroga: Route 29A between Gloversville City line and Pine Lake. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to paving operations.

• Town of Broadalbin: Route 29 under Bridge Street. Motorists will encounter one-way alternating traffic with a temporary signal on each side of the bridge for repairs to the underside of the bridge.

Montgomery County

• City of Amsterdam: Route 30 over the Canal. Motorists will encounter a south bound right lane closure (outside lane), a north bound auxiliary lane and left lane are closed. The Route 30 north bound ramp to Route 5 east bound will be closed as well as the Erie Street ramp to Route 30 north bound. Route 5 east bound ramp to Route 30 south bound is closed. The Route 30 south bound ramp to Bridge Street will be closed. There will be signed detours in place.

• City of Amsterdam: Route 30 between I-90 and Route 5S. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to conduit installation.

• City of Amsterdam: Route 5 between John Street and Lark Street. Motorists will encounter a full east bound sidewalk closure with a pedestrian detour in place.

• City of Amsterdam: Route 30 at the NYS Thruway entrance/exit 27. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions due to site cleanup, topsoil work, and shoulder backup operations at the former Exit 27 Toll Plaza.

• Village of Fort Johnson: Route 5 between Stoners Trail and Route 67. Motorists will encounter a Phase 2 traffic pattern due to bridge replacement. There will be a lane closure in each direction with the occasional flagger at the intersections. Route 5 east bound traffic is now shifted into one thru lane. The west bound traffic is now shifted into one lane.

• Town of Canajoharie: Route 5S at the NYS Thruway entrance/exit 29. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions due to site cleanup, topsoil work, and shoulder backup operations at the former Exit 29 Toll Plaza.

• Village of Fonda: Route 920P at the NYS Thruway entrance/exit 28. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions due to site cleanup, topsoil work, and shoulder backup operations at the former Exit 28 Toll Plaza.

Hamilton County

• Town of Lake Pleasant: Route 30 between Lake Pleasant and Indian Lake. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to culvert pipe installation.

Notes

• Pavement Markings will be occurring on various routes in Herkimer, Fulton, Montgomery and Hamilton Counties.

Lane closures or shifts with flaggers will be expected. All work is weather dependent.

• Crack Sealing operations will be occurring on various routes in Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Madison, Montgomery, and Oneida Counties. Lane closures or shifts with flaggers will be expected. All work is weather dependent.

• Bridge Cleaning and Sealing operations will be occurring on various routes in Fulton, Herkimer, Madison, Montgomery, and Oneida Counties. Lane closures and shifts with flaggers will be expected. All work is weather dependent.
