Western Fulton County Seniors hold meeting

The Western Fulton County Seniors meeting of July 12, was called to order by President Angela Hill, with the Pledge of Allegiance and recitation of “The Lord’s Prayer.” The reports of Karla Hoyt, secretary, and Linda Christman, treasurer were read and passed with all in favor. There were 22 members present with six new members. Welcomed back were Marty and Rose Nemecek and Bill Kazilas.

A grill, donated by David Vigliotti, was used to barbecue chicken for this meeting. Mark and Angela Hill and Tom Hogan kept the facility lawn mowed this year. Hogan donated a rider mower.

The tickets will be produced by Linda Christman for the food basket raffle, to be held closer to Thanksgiving, with a set date for the drawing to be advised during the next meeting. The members are asked to donate non-perishable food for the baskets at the October and November meetings. A trip was still being organized by Angela Hill for the fall season, and details will be made available at the next meeting.

The club will have a bake sale fundraiser, with a tentative date of Nov. 2. An auction will be held for members at the October meeting.

The 50-50 raffle was won by Barbara Carpenter, who donated it back to the club. The raffles were won by Barb Kravec, Sue Reese, and Angela Hill.

Anyone interested in attending the regular second Monday monthly meeting held at noon with potluck lunch, is welcome. Come early to visit to just play cards. Bingo is held on the fourth Monday with potluck lunch. The next regular meeting will be held on Aug. 9. Bingo will be held on Aug. 23. All are welcome.
