‘Magic’ tutorial planned

FORT PLAIN — The Fort Plain Free Library, in collaboration with Chris Kazilas of Gamer’s Revolt, will be hosting a youth tutorial for “Magic: The Gathering” on Aug. 27, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Participants will learn everything they need to know to play this exciting card game, with no prior knowledge necessary, and all materials will be provided. At the end of the event participants will also receive their own free set of “Magic” cards, which can be used to play the game at home.

“Magic: The Gathering” is a fun, competitive card game in which players use cards representing magical spells, powerful artifacts, and exotic creatures to defeat their opponents. The core rules are simple to learn, but with nearly endless combinations of cards available, each game can be a totally unique experience.

The event is open to youths of all ages, though children younger than 13 may want an adult with them to help them understand the game. Space for this event is limited, so participants must register in advance.

Sign up by visiting the library, or by calling (518) 993-4646.
