Broadalbin-Perth students part of virtual art exhibit

BROADALBIN — The Broadalbin-Perth Senior High School has 10 pieces of art created by seven students who have been chosen for an annual art exhibit that has gone virtual this year, according to a news release.

The Saratoga Arts’ annual high school all stars exhibit showcases artwork by students in Saratoga, Fulton and Montgomery counties. Traditionally, the student artwork is on display at Saratoga Arts’ gallery, 320 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, but this year, the pandemic forced organizers to shift the event to an online platform. The high school all stars exhibit is available on the Saratoga Arts website now through Feb.28: https://www.saratoga-arts.org/High-School-All-Stars.

The B-P students participating in the exhibit include: Cynthia McDougall, 10th grade; Izzy Donahue, 12th grade; Julianna Huckans, ninth grade; Marion Marotta, Noel Healy, Nathan Sartin, and Gabriella Lanzi, all10th grade.

The artwork was created from class projects assigned by B-P art teachers, Wendy Carroll and John Dievendorf.

“Despite the pandemic and some students learning 100 percent remotely, art education continues at B-P,” Carroll said.
