Possible COVID-19 exposure reported
JOHNSTOWN — A possible COVID-19 exposure at an Arterial Plaza was reported Friday by the Fulton County Public Health Department.
The department issued a news release alerting residents of a potential COVID-19 exposure at Cutting Crew and Mega Tan, 31 Arterial Plaza, Gloversville, on the following date: Friday, Jan. 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The quarantine end date is Jan. 18.
If you have been affected by the exposure, monitor yourself for symptoms up to 14 days after the time of exposure.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or a runny nose, nausea, vomiting, and/or diarrhea.
If symptoms occur, contact your primary care provider for further guidance on testing. If you are a high-risk individual, contact your doctor even if symptoms are mild. Testing sites can also be located by going to https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/find-test-site-near-you
Many individuals also exhibit no symptoms. the release said.
Individuals that practiced social distancing, wore a mask, didn’t touch their face and washed their hands are scientifically proven to be less likely to develop COVID 19.
