GJSD appoints an athletic director among personnel items approved at meeting
JOHNSTOWN — The Greater Johnstown School District Board of Education appointed an athletic director among personnel items approved at its recent meeting.
The board approved the term appointment of Michael Satterlee as director of athletics, health, P.E. and recreation, at a salary not to exceed $30,000, effective Jan. 1 through June 30. He has certification in New York State Permanent Physical Education and New York State Permanent School District Administrator.
In other personnel action, rescinded a resolution adopted on Aug. 27 approving the term appointment of Tara Bruce as 21 school year.
Board members accepted the recommendation of Superintendent William Crankshaw to approve the creation of a full-time administrative assistant position, effective Dec. 15.
The board approved an extension of the appointment of Laura Schuttenberg, as extended leave substitute special education teacher, at $46,158, prorated, pursuant to the Tri-County Substitute Teachers’ Union, effective Jan. 16 through Feb. 3, 2021. She was originally appointed for the period Sept.14, 2020 to Jan. 15.
Approved was the probationary appointment of Dan Kollar, as custodian, effective Dec. 1 through Nov. 30, 2021, at $15.66 per hour for eight hours per day, pursuant to a Civil Service Employees’ Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Board members approved the provisional appointment of Jeanine LoDestro as administrative assistant, 12 months per year, $32,000 annually (prorated), effective Jan. 4.
