Several area students honored by Herkimer
HERKIMER — A total of 88 Herkimer County Community College students were recently inducted into the College’s Upsilon Epsilon chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) international honor society.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, this year’s inductees included students from the Fall 2019, Spring 2020 and Fall 2020 semesters.
PTK was established in 1918 to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students.
It now has chapters on almost 1,300 community college campuses in 11 countries.
Membership is extended to those who have achieved a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA and have accumulated at least 12 credit hours.

Emma Bilinski (Dolgeville), Anna Bowers (St. Johnsville), Terry Carter (Amsterdam), Nicholas Coffin (Dolgeville), Jenna Cool (Amsterdam), Hollie David (Dolgeville), Kelsey Denton (Fultonville), Kaitlyn Jenks (Canajoharie), Jamie Muir (Salisbury Center), Isaiah Norton (Fort Plain), Alex Schnettler (Canajoharie), Hannah Spofford (Dolgeville)
Chapter officers this year are President Alex Fowler; Jenks, vice president of chapter growth; and Stephanie Schneider, vice president of online participation.
