Montgomery County warns of COVID-19 exposure

FONDA — The Montgomery County Public Health Department is informing members of the public who visited Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 39 St. John. St., Amsterdam, on Nov. 16, between 1 and 2:30 p.m. they may have been exposed to COVID-19 and should monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days from the date of potential exposure.

People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2 to 14 days after exposure of the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19.

— Fever or chills

— Cough

— Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

— Fatigue

— Muscle or body aches

— Headache

— New loss of taste or smell

— Sore throat

— Congestion or runny nose

This list does not include all possible symptoms. If symptoms do develop, stay home and call your doctor for further guidance.

If you are elderly, have underlying medical conditions or are immunocompromised, call your doctor even if your symptoms are mild. In an emergency, please call 911.
