County probation department seeks consulting services
JOHNSTOWN — The Fulton County Probation Department is in a temporary personnel crunch and needs consulting services.
The Board of Supervisors’ Public Safety Committee recently approved a few personnel matters at the County Office Building. The full board will vote on the final resolutions.
Supervisors authorized a $2,412 contract with Katherine Flint for consulting services in the county Probation Department.
Cynthia Licciardi, department director, said Flint is due to retire Feb. 14 from her position as probation senior account clerk/legal typist.
“As of Feb. 17, we will be without clerical staff,” said Licciardi.
She said that to assist in the transition of the new senior account clerk, Flint agreed to be available to provide the county training services on an as-needed consultant basis. She said Flint’s contract term would be about eight weeks from Feb. 17 through April 10.
Licciardi said Flint will be paid $20.10 per hour for up to 15 hours per week.
In other personnel matters before the committee, Licciardi received permission to reclassify an account clerk/legal typist position to account clerk typist. Reclassification enables probation greater hiring flexibility.
“This position is currently vacant,” Licciardi said, due to a resignation last fall.
Probation also requested a resolution reclassifying a senior account clerk/legal typist position to senior account clerk.
“It’s very difficult to fill,” Licciardi said.
