Police investigate gunfire at gas station

AMSTERDAM — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at a gas station Tuesday afternoon in which no one was injured.

According to a news release, a shooting took place at a gas station on Church Street at approximately 3:50 p.m. The incident began during an argument between people at the gas station.

Responding officers observed shell casings in the parking lot of the gas station. A vehicle and a gas pump were both damaged by bullets.

No one was reported injured and there is no other property damage reported.

The investigation is ongoing and the Amsterdam Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact them at (518)842-1100. All information will be kept confidential.
