Stabbing leaves 1 injured
GLOVERSVILLE — City police continue to investigate a stabbing that left one individual with non-life threatening injuries on Saturday night.
The incident occurred near 92 Second Ave. Saturday around 8 p.m. The victim of the stabbing was transported to Albany Medical Center by helicopter with non-life threatening injuries, according to a police press release.
Police briefly closed Second Avenue between Kingsboro and Yale avenues on Saturday while investigating the scene and several witnesses have been interviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.
Public information officer Brad Schaffer could not provide further details on the active investigation this morning, but said police do not believe the incident was random in nature.
“I am confident in saying that we don’t believe there is any danger to the public at this time,” Schaffer said today.
