Youth day event slated

FONDA — Youth within the community can look forward to a day of fun and games at Montgomery County’s Youth Day event.

According to the Youth Day flyer, it will be held Wednesday on the grounds surrounding the Montgomery County Annex Building from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The rain date will be Thursday.

At the Youth Day event, attendees will get to enjoy the day participating in activities such as a karaoke competition, an inflatable wrecking ball, goliath obstacle course, bounce houses, an inflatable jousting competition, face painting, snow cones, a dairy exhibit, inflatable slides, scavenger hunt, human foosball, bubble ball soccer, popcorn and fun on the ball field. There will also be demonstrations and exhibits by the police departments, ambulance corps, Montgomery County Emergency Management, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, LifeNet and fire departments.

Bikes that Walmart donated will be raffled off as well.

Free lunch will be served between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to all youth.

Attendees must sign in at registration. Youth under 18 years old must have documentation signed by a parent or guardian in order to obtain a wristband. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone. There is no age limit for this event.
