Programs at FCHS planned
GLOVERSVILLE — The following is for the Fulton County Historical Society, 237 Kingsboro Ave., according to a news release.
— At 6:30 p.m. May 26 FCHS Executive Director Samantha Hall-Saladino will present Service on the Home Front: Rationing During World War II.
The American people felt the effects of World War II long before they fought in it. When America entered the war after the bombing of Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, it became clear that a nationwide mandatory rationing program would need to be created. Discover the ways Fulton County residents fulfilled this patriotic duty.
— The museum will open for the season from noon to 4 p.m. June 2.
The museum will then be open from noon to 4 p.m. on the following schedule.
— Saturday and Sunday.
— Thursday through Sunday July 1, through Labor Day.
— Saturday and Sunday Labor Day through Columbus Day.
