Nigra center to hold multi-media art show
GLOVERSVILLE — The Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts, 2736 Route 30, will have this year’s spring art show. This exhibition is open to works of any media from all artists — local, regional and beyond, according to a news release.
This show will be on display from Feb. 11, to March 25. The artists can submit work now until Jan. 17, through www.OnlineJuriedshows.com. This is not a juried show; this website is used for ease of submission and selection by the curators. The artists who want to submit should visit the website and scroll down until they find the 2021 spring art show or visit http://bit.ly/3aBbhTd, where more submission guidelines are available. The artists can also e-mail Brenda Dwyer at: firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the Nigra Arts Center to obtain an application form.
The fee for entry of up to three works is $15 for members of the NAC or $25 for non-members.
The artists can submit an additional two entries maximum for a fee of $7 each for members or $10 each for non-members. The notification of acceptance will be sent out by Jan. 20, and the dates for drop-off or mailing of artwork are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 3-5, or from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 6. Due to changes in protocols necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic, each artist will need to make an appointment for contact-free drop-off of their artwork. More information about these new procedures will be included in their acceptance notifications.

Through the donations of supporters, the PNC will offer awards and prizes to outstanding submissions. All winners will also receive a membership to the center.
The NAC will host a meet the artists opening reception for this show from 3 to 7 p.m. Feb. 18, which is free and open to the public. The show will be available for public viewing throughout its run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. A virtual tour of the exhibition will be posted after the opening reception on the NAC’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/PaulNigraCenter, and website, www.pncreativeartscenter.org.
