Free Thanksgiving meal planned
FONDA — The free community Thanksgiving meal will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Fulton and Montgomery counties. For more information call (518) 535-9303. Reservations are required — reserve the meal by 4 p.m. Tuesday, according to a news release.
The meal will be delivery only this year due to COVID regulations.
Now more than ever, help is needed to make a difference in the lives of over 3,000 Fulton and Montgomery County community families by volunteering with the Festival or Hope and the Community Foundation or the Adirondack Foothills.
Anyone from Fulton or Montgomery County is welcome. The menu consist of roasted turkey, traditional stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, corn, cranberry dressing, dinner roll/bread, and a pumpkin pie for dessert.
The delivery will be organized this year to start around 11 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m. There is no scheduled delivery time this year and it will be a no-contact delivery which means the delivery driver will leave the pre-packaged meals on a clean and safe surface at the location specified in the reservations. If anyone is not home, the meals will be left. Help keep the delivery drivers safe and wait until the delivery driver is 6 feet away before collecting the dinners.
