Virtual open house set for Wednesday

GLOVERSVILLE — The city is preparing a Local Waterfront Revitalization Plan and will hold a virtual public presentation on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The presentation will be livestreamed on the City’s Facebook page; City of Gloversville, New York – City Hall.

The LWRP program is a partnership between the city and the state Department of State that explores strategies and projects to address issues and opportunities associated with lands along the Cayadutta Creek.

The presentation will provide information about the program and seek public input on the vision for the waterfront area and a series of projects aimed at redeveloping and improving areas within reasonable proximity to the creek, improving access to the creek, enhancing parks and playgrounds, signage along the Rail Trail, and creating better connections to the Rail Trail downtown.

Following the presentation, the public will be invited to attend a virtual open house where they can comment on the waterfront revitalization project ideas. The survey will be open through Aug. 19.

Links for the virtual Open House will be available on the City of Gloversville, New York – City Hall Facebook page after presentation and at cityofgloversville.com.
