United Way chosen for Hannaford Helps

GLOVERSVILLE — The United Way of Fulton County has been selected as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program for the month of August, according to a news release.

The Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program, which launched in April 2014, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.

The UWFC was selected as the August beneficiary of the program by the store leadership at the Gloversville Hannaford. The UWFC will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during August.

“Our United Way is delighted to be chosen for this charitable opportunity from our local Hannaford,” said Lisa Pfeiffer, executive director of UWFC. “Thanks to Hannaford, we can help ensure UW funding to our local agencies continues in Fulton County.”
