Farmer’s market coupons available
AMSTERDAM — The farmer’s market coupons have arrived at the Montgomery County Office for the Aging, 135 Guy Park Ave. Any senior 60 years of age and older who meets income eligibility criteria can receive these coupons to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from local authorized farmer’s markets, according to a news release.
The monthly income needs to be at or below $1,968 per month for a one-person household; $2,658 per month for a two-person household; or $3,349 per month for a three-person household. The coupons are available for curbside pickup from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at MC OFA. Those interested must wear a mask and practice social distancing at all distribution locations.
The distributions will also be made at the following locations throughout the county.
¯ From 9 a.m. to noon at the Fort Plain Senior Center, 204 Canal St.
¯ From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 5, at the Fonda Fairgrounds, 21 Bridge Street south.
¯ From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 10, at the Community House 16 Washington St., St. Johnsville.
