Historical Society offers online program
JOHNSTOWN – The Fulton County Historical Society is bringing the museum to you.
Each Tuesday in July, a different part of Fulton County history will be explored and something will be created s together. Materials needed for each session will be posted in advance.
The first installment of Hands on History @ Home will take place July 7 at 10 a.m.. When food was rationed during World War II, what did people eat? How did they deal with shortages, make their food last longer, and avoid being wasteful?
Join the Historical Society in an exploration of how families participated in the war effort through rationing and test out a WWII recipe from Knox Gelatine in Johnstown.
A list of supplies is available on the FCHS website if you’d like to make the recipe along with us: fultoncountyhistoricalsociety.org/events.
