Burned wood jewelry making class planned

MAYFIELD — The following is for the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts, 2736 Route 30, according to a news release.

∫ From 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 24 will be a burned wood jewelry making class in art studio two. Melanie Fay will be the instructor. The cost is $25 with member discount.

Those who attend can learn how to make their own earrings by “burning” their own pattern into thin jewelry wood and adding paint. The participants can also create several and turn them into a necklace, or use one as a key chain.
