Smullen named to Circle of Friends
ALBANY — Assemblyman Robert Smullen, R — Meco, is honored to have been named to the state Farm Bureau’s Circle of Friends. The Farm Bureau made the announcement based on Smullen’s voting record and other legislative support on agricultural issues in the 2019 Legislative session, according to a news release.
“Agriculture has long been a proud tradition for New Yorkers and a cornerstone of our state’s economy,” Smullen said in the release. “Agriculture is the largest industry in upstate New York, so I will continue to advocate for policies beneficial to our farmers, particularly the many small farms in the 118 Assembly District. These farms are a staple in our community, and in a state that cannot afford to lose another farm or job, Albany should be doing everything possible to support our farmers instead of continuing to pile on costly regulations and mandates.”
