Annual Polar Express Celebration scheduled

GLOVERSVILLE — The Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts, 2736 Route 30, Gloversville, will host its fifth annual Polar Express Celebration event on Saturday, Dec. 14, 12 to 2 p.m.

The North Pole-themed event will include crafts, games, raffles and other family fun inspired by the classic tale “The Polar Express.” There will be opportunities for pictures with Santa Claus from 12 to 1 p.m. Children are encouraged to wear pajamas.

Admission is $5 per child to benefit the Nigra Arts Center or a new, unwrapped toy to benefit Toys for Tots. Children age 1 and younger will be admitted free.

The Nigra Arts Center’s gift shop and gallery will also be open during the event, and attendees are welcome to view the current exhibit at no additional charge.
