2 holiday-themed sewing workshops

FORT PLAIN — The Fort Plain Free Library will host two free, holiday-themed sewing workshops in December.

The first — for 12- to 18-year-olds — will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The second program — for adults — will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 17, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Retired family and consumer sciences teacher Pamela Boynton will facilitate both programs, guiding participants as they sew buttons onto felt disks to create 3™-inch holiday wreath ornaments. For 25 years, Boynton worked with middle- and high school students at Little Falls and St. Johnsville school districts.

The programs will take place at the library, which is located at the corner of Willett and River streets. Advance registration is requested as class sizes are limited.

For more information or to sign up for either class, call (518) 993-4646. Follow the library on Facebook for updates.
