City recreation commission selling wreaths to raise funds
GLOVERSVILLE – A city commission is aiming to make residents holiday season a little bit brighter this year.
The city recreation commission is selling Christmas wreaths that were previously used to decorate light poles downtown, according to a news release.
The wreaths will cost $25 each and will only be sold on Thursday, Nov. 14. This sale is first come, first serve.
The sale will be held starting at 6 p.m. at Darling Field.
According to the recreation commission new lights were purchased this year to replace the pre-lit wreaths.
All the funds raised from the sale of these items will go toward the revitalization of the Spring Street park.
