Annual memory tree lighting slated for Dec. 1

GALWAY — The Galway Lioness Club will have its 25th annual memory tree in the village of Galway Park — village intersection of Sacandaga and Galway roads — by the bandstand, according to a news release.

The memory tree will be lit with bulbs to remember deceased loved ones during the Christmas season. A $1 donation is requested for each name submitted. The list of names will be written in a memory tree book located in a case in the park gazebo.

The memory tree names may be mailed to the Galway Lioness Club, P.O. Box 502, Galway, N.Y. 12074.

The official memory tree lighting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 1, at in the park. The names may be submitted through Dec. 22.

The memory tree will be lit through Jan. 1, 2020.
