Tarot card event slated for Oct. 20

CHARLESTON –The Charleston Historical Society will be hosting a program on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. titled History of Tarot Cards. The program will feature guest speaker Sue Pacillo, certified professional tarot card reader.

In 1998, Pacillo was mentored in tarot card reading by her nephew who is a grand master tarot card reader.

Pacillo has studied tarot card reading with several famous tarot card readers and authors. She became a certified professional tarot card reader in 2004 at the Northeast Tarot Card Reader Convention held in Albany.

Pacillo has done tarot card reading parties and personal readings. She continues to study tarot card reading.

Tarot card reading is a predictor or forecast that is channeled through the client who shuffles the cards. The tarot card reader then translates the cards.

Pacillo will be presenting the history of tarot card reading and will take questions.

The Charleston Historical Society’s headquarters is the former First Baptist Church of Charleston, located on Polin Road in the town of Charleston. Follow Route 30A south outside of Fultonville to the town of Charleston. Take a right off of Route 30A onto Polin Road to the Charleston Historical Society’s headquarters.

Refreshments will follow the program.
