Johnstown library events scheduled
JOHNSTOWN — The following events are for the Johnstown Public Library, 38 S. Market St., according to a news release.
∫ From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday Fulton County Historian Samantan Hall-Saladino will present the Spirits of the Sacandaga, an evening of ghost stories.
∫ From 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday the Cookbook Club will meet. Every month the attendees will gather to sample dishes from a book chosen by the library staff. Come to the circulation desk to look through the current cookbook and choose a recipe. On the night of the meeting, bring a sample of the dish prepared for everyone to taste. The food, the cookbook and the book’s author will be discussed. Space is limited. Contact the library to reserve a seat. This program is for people ages 18 and older.
∫ From 3 to 4:30 p.m. Friday will be comic makers. Come make comics at the library. This program is for people 18 and under.
∫ From 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday will be a Social Security information program. This is a free informational session about Social Security. There will be a presentation as well as time for questions.
