Fall family fest Saturday
MAYFIELD — The Mayfield Historical Society’s fall family fest and cruise-in will be held Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at The Rice Homestead, 328 Riceville Road.
The fall family fest will include tours of the homestead, animals, face painting for the kids, weaving and spinning demonstrations, pumpkins for sale as well as apple cider, cider donuts, and hot dogs with the locally iconic Lee’s Snack Bar famous hot dog sauce.
The descendants of Lee and Emma Goulet, owners of Lee’s Snack Bar in the village of Mayfield, donated their secret recipe to the Mayfield Historical Society. Owners of antique and hot rod vehicles are invited to attend.
Admission is free, and the first 50 cruise-in commitments will receive a dash plaque commemorating the event.
The gate will open at 11:30 a.m. for car set-up. To pre-register for the cruise-in, call Bob Suits at (518) 725-5261.
The DVD “Harnessing Nature: Building the Great Sacandaga” will be available for sale. In case of rain, the event will be canceled.
