Utica Dance set for show at The Glove

GLOVERSVILLE — Utica Dance will perform in collaboration with the Caroga Lake Music Festival at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Glove Performing Arts Center, 40 N. Main St.

The performance will feature original choreography by Utica Dance’s artistic director Nancy Long and dancer Casey Loomis with live music by the Caroga Arts Ensemble.

Utica Dance has a long history of providing “the highest quality dance instruction in ballet, jazz, tap and modern dance,” according to news release. Students of Utica Dance have gone on to perform with highly competitive and widely known companies such as the New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theater as well as the School of American Ballet.

Caroga Arts Ensemble, directed by cellist Kyle Price, comprises top young professional musicians from around the country who have been part of the Caroga Lake Music Festival. Performers include top competition prize winners, school of music faculty, and members of America’s leading orchestras and chamber groups.
