Make your own art event set for Wednesday at Arkell Museum
CANAJOHARIE — The Arkell Museum, 2 Erie Blvd., will hold a free Summer Afternoon Family Art Paint–Make Your Own from 2 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
Every Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. through Aug. 21, children in pre-kindergarten or older can visit a gallery and learn about an artist or an art style. Then they will go to the classroom and practice making art in that style.
This week they will learn about constellations and the night sky by using wax resist and watercolors. They will use crayons to make stars and planets and then paint around them to reveal a night sky.
